Carol Wendeborn was our nearby neighbor who greeted my family warmly when we moved to Van Buren St. in August 1966. Carol was a great cook and her special German chocolate cake with coconut filling and hearty whole wheat molasses bread are recalled and recipes shared. As a young adult Maria and I visited Carol on a very hot Virginia day, she made spicy tacos to help us cool off. In later years she brought her beautiful newborn son back for a visit to our home, the sweet blonde toddler resting in a sunny spot in the living room. Carol was a proud and competent wife, mother and friend and we will always remember her with love. R.I.P. and Condolences to her family and friends. Gloria Vistica Tepper, Class of '76

I knew the Wendeborns when they lived in Madison, N.J. Fred and Wynn's girls were the same age as my girls and we spent many happy times with the whole family. We lost touch when we both moved over the years. I would love to get in touch with Fred and Wynn or any of the rest of the family. You can email me at. crabclaw@tds.net. I now live in Black Earth, Wisconsin with my daughter ,Debbie Mason Grundgeiger,
